Physiologist

Liz Johnson — Canadian Sport Institute Pacific

Liz Johnson is a Physiologist based in Victoria and works with National and Provincial Training Centres with the Canadian Sport Centre Pacific (CSC Pacific) and is primarily responsible for delivering Sport Physiology services around the province with the Canadian Sport Centre's Mobile Lab.

A graduate of the University of New Brunswick (B.Sc. Kinesiology) and the University of Victoria (MSc. Exercise Science), Liz has worked in the areas of neuromuscular and environmental physiology with particular interest in the effects of heat on performance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paula McFadyen — Canadian Sport Institute Pacific

Paula McFadyen is a physiologist based in the Victoria Performance Lab. She is working with members of the community and developing athletes, as well as assisting with special projects. Paula is a graduate of the University of Victoria (MSc Exercise Physiology and BSc Human Performance), and she is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.

Paula has extensive research, teaching, and testing experience from her time at the University of Victoria and the University of Calgary. She has tested athletes of all ages, members of the general public, as well children. For the past number of years, Paula worked in the area of occupational fitness research and testing with the Canadian Forces Navy and Canadian Forces Divers.
