Allan Wrigley, Ph.D — Canadian Sport Institute Pacific
Dr. Allan Wrigley received both H.B. and M.Sc. Degrees in Kinesiology from Lakehead University, with his Ph.D. In Interdisciplinary Studies coming from the University of New Brunswick. Dr. Wrigley has been working with Swimming Canada's National Senior Program since 2006, and has been with the team at every major International swim meet since 2008. Most recently he was the Biomechanist and IST Lead for Swimming Canada at the 2012 London Olympics.
Dr. Wrigley's focus is on the technical analysis and training of all swimming skills, but in particular with starts, turns, and underwater kicking. On top of his work in the daily training environment and at International swim meets, Dr. Wrigley serves as the IST Director for Swimming Canada's National high performance program. In this capacity, he oversees and manages the National sport science and medicine program across Canada.
